I never knew Dan personally, his face does look familiar. I served in A Co. 864th, Apr. 1970 to Mar. 1971, we may have crossed paths a few times . He seemed like a fine person. May he Rest In Peace. Welcome Home Dan!

I remember Danny as a little boy, when we were both visiting our Grandma Dietz. Didn’t see him again for many years, and I was very grateful when he invited me to the Dietz family reunion he organized. Thanks, Danny, for all the great emails you sent me over the years. Your cousin Jody.

Missing Dan already, Words can not describe how much Dan meant to everyone who knew him. He was a great guy who made friends easily, especially veterans, no matter your age or time in the service. I keep thinking of all the events that I was privileged to attend with Dan. Soldierstone Memorial in Sargents Mesa. Quite a walk from parking lot to the memorial but Dan walked it even though he was on oxygen. another event was a Veterans Concert with Gary Sinise (Lt.Dan) at Ft. Carson. So many other events that wouldn’t keep Dan down, He was a warrior until the very end. Rest in Peace Dan, I Love you.
