Obituary of Carol Ann Shursen

On Sunday December 8, 2019, Carol Ann Shursen, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 83 years old at Berkley Manor Care Center in Denver, Colorado.

Carol was born on July 18, 1936 in Saint Paul, Minnesota and was adopted by George and Stella Schindler on February 26, 1940.

On June 8, 1957 she married Donald Leroy Shursen.  They raised one daughter Debra.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald Leroy Shursen, her father George Schindler and mother Stella Schindler.  She is survived by her daughter Debra Lee Grunlien, son-in-law Michael James Grunlien, and granddaughter Kourtney Ann Marie Grunlien.

Carol loved life, her family, holidays and white cake with white icing.  She would strike up a conversation with a stranger, she loved to talk.  She used to love watching TV land because it showed all the oldies TV shows.  She will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Fort Logan National cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80235 at 12:00 noon, Staging Area A.
