Obituary of Donna M. Bell

A funeral for Donna M. Bell, 87, of Colorado Springs, who died January 31, 2020, in her home, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs with Pastor Dr. John Witkop officiating. Memorials have been established to Pikes Peak Hospice and to Bethel Lutheran Church. All Veterans in Westminster, CO is providing Family Services. She was born September 21, 1932, in Hemingford, NE. Donna graduated from Alliance High School class of 1950. She married Larry Bell on December 9, 1951 in Scottsbluff, NE. They eventually moved to Colorado Springs where they have lived for the past 29 years. Donna was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, was active in many civic duties and was a life-long community volunteer. She was an avid learner with an inspiring curiosity for the world and love for her family. Music was a life-long pursuit for Donna, an accomplished musician and lover of the arts.

Survivors include her daughters Barbara Cooper (Bobby) of Harrisburg, NE and Sandra Gannon (Dan) of Hartford, WI; son Michael Bell (Jennifer) of Colorado Springs; also 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and sister Marilyn Chan (Larry) of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Bell, her son Charles Bell, her parents and four siblings.
