Obituary of Randall Alan Deane

 

Randall Alan Deane
October 18, 1956 -January 25, 2020.
Randy began his life on October 18, 1956.  He was born in Denver to Gerald and Erma (Hamrick) Deane-VanMeter. Upon his graduation from Wheat Ridge High School in 1975,  he proudly joined the Marines and lived by the code, “once a Marine always a Marine”. On May 26th, 2006, he married his longtime sweetheart, Debra Darnell and they blended their families. Randy enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, riding motorcycles, very loud music, hiking and fishing. Most of all he loved to talk with his hands moving the entire time. It was very nice when he and Debra purchased and moved into the Deane Family childhood home in Applewood, near Golden, Colorado.   Following a short illness, he peacefully passed away in this home with his beloved wife by his side on January 25, 2020. He is survived by:  his wife, Debra Deane;  sister - Amy Mason; brother - Gerald Deane, Jr.;  his children, Lee Deane, Nichol Aronja, Stacy Carter, Josh Darnell and Hannah Howell; grandchildren, Emily Paulos, Anthony Deane, Garret Deane, Elizabeth Aronja, Valerie Arjona, Arnulflo Arjona, Johnny Royster, Sebastian Carter, Chloe Carter, Layton Wall and Kian Howell; many nieces, nephews, blended family members and friends who were just like family to him. Randy was preceded in death by his: Mother and Stepfather - Erma and Warren Van Meter; Father - Gerald Deane;  Brothers: Tom, David, Patrick and Michael.

Celebration of Randy’s life will be at Mile Hi Church 9077 W Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226 on Tuesday, February 11, at 1 pm. Reception following.

Internment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, Colorado 80236, 

will be held the following day.
Wednesday, February 12 at 11 am

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mile Hi Church.
