Obituary of Bruce Allen White

Bruce Allen White passed away on February 5, 2020 at the age of 80 in Lakewood, Colorado.  Bruce was born December 7, 1939 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and graduated from Hastings High School in Nebraska in 1958.  He then joined the US Navy, served for 20 years, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1977. He traveled the world in the Navy, including circumnavigating the globe on the USS Inchon, and then, as a civilian, resided throughout the US from California to Colorado to South Carolina.

Bruce enjoyed bowling, fishing, sewing and quilting, and spending time with his family.  He loved music, dogs and cars! Bruce was a sharp dresser, an excellent baker and a hopeless romantic.  He had a sharp wit and an infectious laugh. He was a loving Papa to his grandchildren, and a generous and kind husband, father, uncle, brother and son.

Bruce was preceded in death by parents Carl and Opal White, and son Mendel Huckabee.  He is survived by son George Edward and wife Paula Huckabee; son Darryl and wife Janey Huckabee; grandchildren Nina, Allen, Stacy, Heather, Tiffany, Haley, Taylor; many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brother Duane and wife Fujiko White; and sister Dee Ann Zaharias.  Bruce was loved by all and he will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at Fort Logan National Cemetery:  3698 S Sheridan Blvd - Staging Area A.  Please arrive no earlier than 9:50 am.
