For Chris,
Barb O. and I send our sympathies to you and your family. We have many fond memories of working with you at Lutheran Emergency Department back in the day! You were always so professional and did your job so well. You went beyond for the staff and even shared a great crazy cake recipe with me!

Aunt Grace was an inspiration to us all. She lost her father at a young age and developed breast cancer when she was the mother of 4 young girls. Yet through it all, she always remained positive about life. She saw the good in all people and in all things. The last I talked with her she longed for a good steak dinner. I am sure that her older siblings, in-laws and beloved husband are joining her for that good steak dinner and a good scotch!
My heart goes out to my cousins Chris, Cindy, Irene and Martha. It is so very, very hard to lose both your father and now your mother. Please know that all of your family, from NJ, California, Australia .... are here for you.

Grace was my youngest aunt and, to me, the sister I never had. I can't think of her without a smile breaking loose and wonderful memories taking hold of me. Always positive with a laugh that could bring tears of joy, always kind and always a friend. She was to me, and I am sure to most others, a light in my life. Some of my greatest memories will always be of when Grace and her mother Christine would laugh until they couldn't catch their breath and whenever Grace and her brothers Bob and Jim, and my mother Margot would gather for a family reunion. I could watch them for hours and feel their love. Like everyone, their family dealt with life's slings and arrows but laughter and love kept them so strong and so positive.
Anyone who knew Aunt Grace knows that what I'm saying is so very true. She was one of life's rarest gifts - a package of kindness, a wonderfully positive approach to everything and full of the sincerest love.
I have been blessed to have had Aunt Grace in my life. We all have. I know she is with Christine, Margot, Bob and Jim and the father who passed before she could know him, and I can hear the laughter.
She was the last of my parents' siblings but she will always be foremost in my mind.
In John Prine's song 'When I get to Heaven' he sings about how he will "see all his mama's sisters cause that's where all the love starts." He was so right.
I will always love and miss you Aunt Grace
