Obituary of James Edward Helmick

James Edward Helmick, 84, of Penrose, Colorado passed away at Bruce McCandless Colorado Veterans Community Living Center in Florence, Colorado on April 14, 2020.  

He was born on December 23, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia.  At the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps. and served for 32 years.  He especially enjoyed making videos of family trips, wood carving and country music.

James loved God, family, the good ole USA, and the Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane; his sons, Daniel Helmick of Beaumont, California and Robert Helmick of Pueblo, Colorado; two grandsons, two grand daughters, and a great grandson.
