The Buckley AFB military Retiree Activities Office (RAO) offers our sincere condolences. I used to see Ron regularly at the gym in Southlands and visit with him about his time in the AF. If the RAO can be of any assistance making notifications to the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS), helping with the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), etc you can reach us at 720-847-6693. We can also put you in touch with the base Casualty Assistance Representative. We are very sorry for your loss.

Ron was a dear friend and will be truly missed. As a member of the Highpoint Church Men’s Group, we could always count on him to make us laugh because of his quick wit and charm. His wisdom and love for others was a model for all of us to follow. I’m personally going to miss him saying, “I’m your star student” and “you can get started now” when he arrived to group. Ron touch many lives, including mine, and we will forever treasure his friendship and brotherhood at Highpoint Church.

RON WAS MORE THEN A COUSIN,,,,,OH YES, WE PLAYED ARMY AND WRESTLED, AND HIT BASEBALLS, AND HE
KILLED ME IN BOWLING ALL THE TIME,,,,,WE CLIMBED TREES AND BILLBOARDS NEAR HIS HOUSE IN RAHWAY
NEW JERSEY,,,,,,HE TALKED HIS DAD INTO GIVING US A BUCK WHEN I WAS AT HIS HOUSE, SO THAT WE COULD
GO TO THE NEARBY CANDY STORE AND GET A DELICIOUS BREYERS' ICE CREAM CONE,,,,UM!!! OR WE WOULD
CROSS RT. 1 AND GET SOME DELICIOUS WHITE CASTLE BURGERS AND FRIES AND AN ORANGE CRUNCH DRINK.
WE HAD FUN.....SO PROUD OF WHAT HE DID IN THE AIR FORCE,,,,WORKING ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS
WITH THEM THAT IMPACTED OUR COUNTRY.....AND HE BECAME A CIVILIAN TOWN CIVIL ENGINEER....WORKED FROM
6 AM UNTIL 6 PM.....HE LOVED WHAT HE DID....HE BRAGGED ABOUT BEN IN THE AIR FORCE, AND WORKING
AT THE PENTAGON,,,,AND BRAGGED ABOUT HIS SUCCESSFUL DAUGHTER TAMMY, AND HOW SHE COULD KICK
MY BUTT IN BILLIARDS, AS SHE IS A FORMER COUNTRY WIDE TRAVELING PRO PLAYER....AND HOW HE LOVED
HIS WIFE JUDY AND THEIR NEW DIGS IN COLORADO, RIGHT NEAR BEN AND HIS GREAT NEW FAMILY. WE TALKED A LOT ON THE PHONE THESE LAST FEW YEARS....HE STAYED HERE TWICE IN THE LAST TEN YEARS, AND WE VISITED
VARIOUS RELATIVES.....HE EVEN TOOK A SMALL PART IN A FUN MOVIE WE WERE MAKING...HE DID NOT EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT SWORD FIGHTING ON THE STAIRCASE WITH A WILD GORILLA (ME IN A COSTUME).....ATTENTION
EVERYONE, AS RON PASSES ON TO A HIGHER COMMAND!

So wonderful what you wrote Harry. How many White Castle burgers could you possibly buy for $1.00?
We miss him a lot.

I had the pleasure to work with Ron for many many years, I knew him very well, I was sad to hear about his passing away from his ex-wife and son Ben. My condolences to his family.
I've known Ron to take lots of pride for any work he did, he was passionate, dedicated, a great public servant at all time.
I stayed in touch with Ron, after he left the Oregon Department Of Transportation, we met few times through the years, he always called me when he was in town for lunch or dinner.
Ron, you will be missed, rest in peace Ron.
