Obituary of Sammie M. Gomez

Sammie (Sam) Monico Gomez, age 72, passed away peacefully on June 26,2020 at the VA hospital while being treated for prostate cancer. Sammie (Sam)  was born on July 19,1948 in Trinidad, Colorado to Sam Gomez and Della Marie Gomez (Sanchez). Sam and Della had 8 children and raised their family in Lakewood,Colorado. 

Sammie served in the United States Marine Corp - 1st Division and went to battle in the Vietnam War. Sammie was proud to have served his country and was honorably discharged when his term ended. His tenacious spirit and the strength he had within will never be forgotten. He is finally resting in perfect peace. 

Please join us in honoring Sam during his final hour.  He will receive a full military service at 11:15am on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Fort Logan Cemetery located at 3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80235. "Staging Area C"
