Obituary of Robert Henry Blom

Robert Henry Blom (Bob), 79, of Denver, Colorado passed away July 18, 2020 at the Lutheran Hospice at Collier Center. He was born on February 15, 1941 at St. Luke’s Hospital to Russell and Thelma Blom. He was a graduate of South High School, attended the Colorado School of Mines and served in the United States Air Force. On December 27, 1969 he married Karalee Webb. He is survived by his spouse Karalee and two children, Elizabeth Anne and Christopher Robert, and a daughter in law, Selena Ann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Anne Blom, his father, Russell Henry Blom and his brother, Russell Edgar Blom.

Bob was a loving husband and devoted father. He loved to talk and joke with anyone he met and loved to laugh. He also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, and exploring the history of Colorado’s numerous railroads, ghost towns and mines. He especially enjoyed reading books by Louis L’ Amour, Bernard Cromwell and Patrick O’Brian. Bob was also an avid Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed playing golf and loved animals.

He shall be missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held August 17, 2020 at 1:15pm at Fort Logan Military Cemetery.
