Donald Ruel May
Born January 17,1950- Died May 20, 2020

The fifth child of Ruel May and Rose (Ruhl) May, Donald was
born in Denver, Colorado. He was a cheerful, happy child who
was very much loved by his family. He attended Abraham
Lincoln High School and graduated in 1968. He earned a
scholarship to attend the University of Northern Colorado in
Greeley where he completed three years of study in the field of
Accounting. During his senior year of college, Don was
diagnosed with Schizophrenia. The years which followed were
filled with many challenges.
Donnie worked frequently with his older brother James May
(deceased in 2005) the owner and operator of May Glass. This
was a very special bond. Don was a dedicated care-taker of his
mother as she aged.Other jobs Don held included restaurant work as a dishwasher. He also
worked briefly at Panara and enjoyed the people and the work! Gambling at scratch tickets and
BINGO were his weaknesses! He did have a couple of big wins! He loved to make people
laugh! He always had a joke and a smile!
He is survived by his sister Ruth Cochran of Lakewood, Colorado, his Brother Thomas May of
Banning California, Nieces Marlena Carillo, Amy Rose May, and Teresa Beilfuss; Great-nieces
Lindsay Carrillo, Lilah Carrillo, Angela Beilfuss, Katlyn Beilfuss and great- nephew Douglas
Carrillo.
