Obituary of John C. Voitl

John C. Voitl of Golden Colorado passed at 10:53 am on Saturday August 8 2020 with most of his family by his side.

John was born on September 27 1945 in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin to Clarence and Jean Voitl.

After graduating from McDonnell High School, John joined The United States Air Force where he proudly served for 11 years. John married Judith A. Flynn also from Chippewa Falls. Together they had 2 sons, Robert (Bob) and James (Jim). John and Judy later divorced.

After leaving The Air Force, John worked a couple of different jobs until he started working for The Adolph Coors Company in 1979 where he was still employed at the time of his passing. 

On June 3 1992 John married Rhonda Clark at a beautiful resort named Callahan Lake Resort, in Hayward Wisconsin.

Although John did not often show it, his greatest joys are and always will be his sons and grandchildren

His greatest sorrow was that of the passing of Grandson Wyatt in 1993.

John had many hobbies in life such as muskie fishing, hunting, walking the dog and bullshitting (a lot).

John was a proud member of American Legion Post 21 in Golden and The Veterans Of Foreign Wars  Post 4171 also in Golden.

John is proceeded in death by his parents Clarence and Jean and grandson Wyatt.

Surviving John is wife Rhonda (Clark) Voitl , Son Robert (Bob) Voitl, son James (Jim and Wendy) Voitl, Grandsons Joshua and Ryan, Granddaughter Mariah, Brother Thomas (Tom) Voitl and dog Callie.

An informal celebration of life will be held Saturday September 26th from 3 pm - 7 pm at American Legion Post 21. 500 9th St in Golden.
