Mr Chase you were one of the most genuine people I’ve ever encountered. There has never been a time when I’ve ceased to remember all the days we spent talking, worshiping, and sometimes even crying. You were faith personified. You taught me to be strong through your strength. You taught me that love was the chief thing by the way you loved Mrs Chase and your family. I’m honored to say that I’ve had the privilege-of not just caring for you but knowing you. You will forever be a light on my path. I know beyond any doubt that you have joined the cloud of witnesses. I was married to the most loving husband in the world. He was everything to me. God chose this man for me. I would not say he was perfect, as the only perfect one was God who became flesh. Jesus, who dwelt among us, who came as a lamb of God and was slaughtered for mankind, and washed us from our sins, in his own blood; he is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Earnie was a man of faith, and because of his mother Adell, who prayed constantly for her family to know Jesus, I am one of those who came to the knowledge that I needed a savior so lo and behold my life changed form that moment on. I was still tempted in some areas of my weaknesses; I was honored to look after Earnie in his illness; he never questioned God; yes, sometimes frustrated, in his journey through life, he loved me very deeply and I him. But his journey was not ended; eye has not seen nor ears heard what God has for those who love him or what it says also in Isaiah 64-4: Those who waited for him, yes, I will see Earnie again in a glorified body.

I met Ernie in 1962, South Ruislip AFB UK. We were in the 1969th Comm. Squadron 3rd Air Force. We both worked for CMSGT Lawrence Windsor. I met my wife Tunisia the first weekend and we were married in 1964 and Ernie was my Best Man. in1966 I gave up my Air Force career and took my family to my home in North Carolina. I lost touch with Ernie and Frances until I did a search for him on Facebook in 2014. I was planning a 50th anniversary to London and wanted Ernie and Francis to come . That was when I found out about his ALS. We did get to visit them 2017 and had a wonderful time catching up on all the time that had gone by..

My first memory of dad was riding on his back in a thermal pool in Turkey. What a great memory to have as a first memory of your dad! He would pretend to stub his toe, trip and go under water and would just keep doing it over and over. I learned a ton from dad as we all should from our moms and dads. Such a great dad...he basically let me....be me and really form my own identity. As I went through a few degree programs, he couldn't have been happier...well, then we had twins and he was happier. Everyone absolutely loved Earnie and he was a very kind and gentle soul. He taught me the value of common sense, which, in my opinion, kind of died with his generation, so hopefully I can keep that part going. We are really going to miss him, but I'm sure we'll all see each other again someday.
