I just found out today. My heart heart aches for all who have lost this wonderful girl.
I asked Lexy why she joined the Navy, she said she wanted to meet people who didn't speak English... You will be missed.

How can I share just one memory! This girl was everything, she could make you laugh, cry and freak out all I'm one sitting. She was my rock!! One of the funniest memories is the day she wrecked my car!! I had to laugh at her because she was backing out of the driveway and hits a parked truck in front of the neighbors house. No damage was done to his car but lex was freaking out and she stuck to her word and got it fixed!! I miss you Linda!!

There are so many memories I could choose from. From the time I can remember you have always been there, mom would put us in matching outfits and while I hated it, all you wanted to do was be like your big sister. But in the end, all I wanted to do was be like you, your bravery, your take no stuff attitude and the way you weren't afraid to stand up for yourself or the underdogs. I remember you came all the way to loveland after you started learning to drive and forced me to get out of the house. We went to this little dinner for breakfast and of course you had to have a cup of coffee. Kk was sitting next to you and finally noticed your new ink so of course she had to poke at it and touch it. You didn't mind, until she became more curious and licked your arm. I still remember you laughing telling her not to lick you. The licking turned into a bite, to which you gently set your cup down, told her not to bite you, but she went in for another taste. So you grabbed her arm and took a bite back. Only this time you both broke out into laughs that caused me to do my crazy laugh. So here we are bright and early laughing like some mad man. Because of you, I'll never forget to pause in the moment to really take in someone's laughter. Not only were you my little sister, you became my best friend.

I used to work with Alexis at King Soopers and knew of her from our High School. She was always such a beautiful smile to walk into work to. She was the light of that job and truly made me want to come to work more. Alexis was a unique character and one of my regrets in life has to be that I never continued or strengthened our friendship. We were simply co-workers but could have been more. After we both had moved onto different things and gotten older, I only seen her growth through social media and from that point on, I was happy to see she was serving for our country and had two adorable twin boys. I never could have imagined the struggles she may have endured in serving for us all. It is unjustifiable, and sickening. I truly wish I would have reached out to her when getting back in touch through social media. I will always remember her silly attitude, her loud laugh, and wonderful smile. She loved her family very much and constantly spoke of em all. I wish the best for her family and friends through this very hard time. It is never easy to lose someone so beautiful in our world. I know through Facebook, she has a very strong mother, and sisters that will take care of her boys as she would if here today. I feel in my heart that she is still with each and every one of them.

When I was maybe 9 she once took me to my backyard so I could learn how to walk like a model in heels. I remember her playing Mary's Song on repeat and saying heel toe heel toe until I walked like a robot. I can still hear her laughing in my memory over how many times I almost fell.
