Obituary of Linda Marrangoni

Linda Marrangoni, 70, was born on June 14, 1950 to Esther Samora and John Armendariz in Trinidad, Colorado. Her family of 2 brothers and 6 sisters and parents Esther and John soon moved to Denver, Colorado to start a new life. It was there where she met her first husband, Gilbert Amador Rivas and had her first and only child, daughter Christine (Chrissy) Elaine Pena.

Linda Marrangoni was employed at Samsonite for many years and later worked for a medical company, Whale Scientific. She was a very hard worker, working graveyard shift, juggling family and household duties. It was at Whale Scientific where she met her second husband, Clyde Marrangoni. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Deion, Jaiden and Karissa Pena, reading books, putting together puzzles, watching movies with Robert Redford and Russell Crowe, watching standup comedy, planting flowers and playing cards. She loved the mountains and outdoors and loved being in the wilderness.

Linda taught us many things. She was the light among us, constantly telling us we could be a better person, a better parent and a better spouse. She read many books and loved YouTube. She loved to learn and to give the information she learned to others to enhance their education. She was a strong woman who taught us how to be brave, a great mother who constantly taught her daughter about the world and a great grandmother who loved her grandchildren tremendously. She valued her nephews and nieces as well and loved when they visited her to talk and catch up. When her sisters came to visit was the time that she became particularly happy. She loved to talk and fight with her sisters like they were still young and living together. She missed them greatly and had the best of times with them when they visited.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Marrangoni, mother Esther Armendariz, father John Armendariz, sister Mary Ortega, sister Margaret Sanchez and brother Leroy Armendariz. Linda is survived by her daughter Chrissy Pena (Phillip Pena), grandson Deion Pena, granddaughters, Jaiden and Karissa Pena and sisters, Theresa Armendariz, Barbara Garcia, Ann Gonzales and Roberta Chavez Melesio, brother Eugene Armendariz and many nieces and nephews.

Linda will be laid to rest at Fort Logan Cemetery with her husband Clyde Marrangoni, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236. Family and friends are welcome to visit her any time after May 1st, 2021 to give their love and prayers. A celebration of life is anticipated to be held later in the summer.

Love Lives On

I fall asleep in the full and certain hope

That my slumber shall not be broken;

And that, though I be all-forgetting,

Yet shall I not be all-forgotten,

But continue that life in the thoughts and deeds

of those I have loved.
