One of my favorite memories of Mr. C is of him wearing his “petting” coat (which is what us girls called his suede jacket) Sunday’s at church just so we would go up to him and “pet” him. I also loved the rafting trips to Glenwood Springs with the church group.
Your dad was an awesome man with a big heart and an even bigger voice when he would sing, I have always remembered him singing How Great Thou Art (still my favorite version of the song). He will be greatly missed...your family is in my thoughts and prayers

Let’s see, memories of Dave Cooper. So many. Every time I came to visit from CA, he’d say, “so glad you got to see me!” Another memory, as I played the flute before my dearest friend Robin walked down the aisle to marry Al, Dave at the top of the aisle, feet solidly planted, listening to see how well I played. Gotta say, just a little intimidated. And, the secret BBQ sauce. He said he could give me the essence of the sauce, but not the recipe. To me, he was The Commander. And I was the Agent in the Field. I love the Cooper family and I loved The Commander. He will always be held deep in my heart. Adrienne, I grieve for you and I hope you’ll allow your children and grandchildren to keep you safe, well and loved. My love, care and prayers for all those Dave held most dear. His family.
