It feels so empty in the house without you, still. I miss you a lot. I know you and Ruth are together again and so happy. We miss you down here but know that we will see you again someday and you’ll be healthy and not in any pain. I love you.

My Dad, such a strong man who taught me many things. You taught me how to drive and made me fix a flat tire on my own so I would know what to do. You taught me to always be prepared, you’d say, “if you’ve got it then you won’t need it”.
I loved your wit and charm and sense of humor you were always the life of any gathering. You knew the exact moment to make your witty comments
I will miss when someone asked how you were you’d say, “not too bad considering”, and when anyone called or visited you’d say, “hello dere”.
The sound of a plane flying over, brings back fond memories of when you flew over our house in Byers and made the plane wave.
I will never forget when you carried me to the car because I fell in a cactus patch.
I will always remember when you saw the drum set in the music store window and got it for me, because of that I became a self taught drummer and still love playing to this day.
Your time in Vietnam encompassed who you were and I thank God you came home safe!
The stories of your time there will resonate with me for the rest of my life.
Your accomplishments and sometimes dangerous situations you put yourself in during your time in the civil air patrol make me so proud you are my Dad.
Your time living with Andrea and I was so bonding. We were like the 3 musketeers. I loved our little adventures we went on especially towing our campers off our land in the snow and ice
We loved when you would sit outside with us
And We will always remember our thanksgiving and Christmas together and the turn out and support for your drive by birthday party.
you made such an impression on Jim and Anna and they loved your visits. Anne adored you and can’t wait to help me publish your book.
This last year I saw that inner strength and determination you were made of and I am so blessed I could take care you and spend that precious time with you. I miss you dearly Dad but know you are not in anymore pain, can breath easy and walk with ease. I’m sure you are doing lots of flying in heaven and am so happy you and Mom are reunited again. I miss you both so much!
I will always be my daddy’s little girl and you will always be my hero Dad. Today is your Birthday as why it was fitting to lay you to rest today. Rest In Peace and until we meet again. I love you Dad!

He was\is such a great uncle. Ever the solid role model for us kids growing up. Uncle Buddy had this way of making you feel he was on your side, no matter the topic or your fault in it. He wouldn't necessarily agree one way or the other, but always objectively listened before sharing his educated, experienced, and empathetic perspective. If life were a cube, my Uncle saw more than one side of it at a time. I recall more than a few satisfying conversations that positively impacted me. Pondering these, one thing has been made painfully clear... there weren't enough of them. I love you and will sorely miss you sir.

Dave was such a hospitable gentleman. My one visit with him left a warm and positive impression on me. So sorry that he suffered and is gone for now. Jim Baker
