I have wonderful memories of Stan during his time at DBC! I also think of Ray Baughman when thinking of Stan and how he displayed deep maturity in the Scriptures! Nita, we know you will miss him and we will all be in that Great reunion soon as described in 1 Thess. 4! Our love and prayers! Jerry & Brenda Speight, DBC 1968

We always enjoyed visiting with Stan and Nita. We met them through my sister and brother in law, Linda and Jeff Rolfe, who have been very good friends of Stan and Nita for many years. We will always remember Stan at Joseph and Carmen Rolfe’s wedding last August. He was having fun dancing with the young people while using his walker. Stan was smart, funny and a wonderful Christian. We will miss him and his outgoing personality. Our condolences to Nita - we know you miss Stan tremendously and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

Nita, my heart goes out to you. You and Stan were such an amazing blessing to us when John was in seminary. I remember Stan sharing a story one Sunday of how people had been praying for him to come to the Lord and we later learned that he, Stan, was praying with My brother Jim and others at Dallas Bible College for John to come to the Lord. Praying for you now! ❤️

So sorry for your loss Nita. The main thing that I remember about Stan (besides how much he loved Nita) was when we would all sit around and Stan would play guitar and we would sing. He had a beautiful voice. Kum ba ya my Lord was my favorite. STAN WAS A WONDERFUL AND CARING GODLY MAN. I will miss him.

Stan was a great punster, and I remember visiting him and Nita and laughing and cringing at the puns they kept saying to each other! He was a sweet, funny guy! I am happy he is no longer hurting but is young again and dancing in heaven!

I remember dancing the "Hora" (spelling?) with Stan and others. For those of you who don't know, it is a lively Jewish dance. I remember all the fun and puns, jokes when the Toole family all got together. We spent most of the time laughing til we had tears in our eyes . Stan is probably in heaven teaching the Hora there. What precious memories I have of all this.

Willard and I loved having Stan as our brother-in-law! He was warm, witty, kind, and most of all, he loved Jesus and loved his family. We have many great memories of great times. We are truly grateful he is free from pain and suffering and look forward to a reunion one day in Heaven! Much love to Nita during this transitional time! Willard and Kathy Toole

Stan was a beloved pastor at Focus on the Family who I followed. He led the church I pastored in our first Seder service. Stan was a humble leader and great friend who deserves the eternal celebration he now enjoys!
