Obituary of Elizabeth Morrison Eha

Elizabeth Morrison Eha

January 7, 1931 – August 5, 2021

Elizabeth “Beth” our loving Mother, Wife and Friend passed away on August 5, 2021. She was 90 ½ years old.

Beth was born on January 7, 1931 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Clinton and Sadie Norman Morrison. She attended a one room country school (Haig School) from kindergarten to 8th grade that had 2 grades of kids in the same room, she and her sister Shirley Mae rode their pony double to school. She attended Scottsbluff High School and then graduated from Colorado Women’s College (CWC) in Denver and earned her Bachelor of Science, School of Nursing from the University of Colorado. She worked as a Registered Nurse, R.N for almost 60 years at several different hospitals as a recovery room nurse while raising her family.

She married William F. Eha in 1954 and together with “Bill”, taught her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the meaning of family, respect for one another and honor. She and Bill worked hard on their acreage in Littleton raising and showing Arabian horses. They enjoyed a cabin property with family and friends throughout their lifetimes.

She contributed so much to all the communities she was a part, church mission trips as a nurse in the Dominican Republic with Bill, volunteering at the local elementary, middle, and high schools, volunteering on many committees in the horse club, and was the church camp nurse for youth many summers at LaForet Retreat and Conference Center in Black Forest, Colorado. She and Bill were lifetime members of First Plymouth Congregational Church in Englewood, Colorado.

Beth was an animal lover more than anyone we know. She loved every creature… horses, dogs, cats, (she owned many of each) essentially any mammal or bird, but never a reptile (learned about rattlers growing up in Nebraska).

She always talked about greeting her very best friends at the Rainbow Bridge. Someone asked her one time if she could go back to her childhood what would she do differently, she said “nothing”. She took advantage of every opportunity that was given to her.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents Clinton & Sadie Morrison, her husband Bill of 64 years, her sisters Jean Schafer and Shirley Gillam and brother Clinton Morrison, and many, many dear friends that she loved. She is survived by her three children, Nancy Blackmon (Jeffrey), Michael Eha (Amy), Jeanne Eha, grandchildren Jonathan Demery (Amber), Benjamin Blackmon (significant other Stefani Okazaki), Anna Burnet (Derek), Julia Blackmon (significant other Dylan Church), Sarah Eha, Laura Ilg (RJ), and 2 great grandchildren Ava & Ryker Demery.
