Craig McKenzie Fair

February 5, 1959 – November 22, 2021

Craig McKenzie Fair graced this earth on February 5, 1959. Born in Denver Colorado to LJ Fair of Pleasant Grove Mississippi, and Susie Fair of Darling Mississippi. Craig was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He passed peacefully at home on November 22, 2021, when the Lord whispered his name.

Craig was educated in the Denver Public School system and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977. Craig was a promising high school football and baseball player. His favorite “Battle Cry” as a teenager was “Blue-42, Blue-42”. This was his high school football number. Craig was active in the community, giving back in many ways. His leadership abilities as a youth won him the title of “Boy of the Year” in the Boys Club Organization.

Craig attended CU Boulder and was very proud to be a Buff. Although he was a gifted entrepreneur, he would list his greatest accomplishments as being a husband, father, and grandfather. Craig was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the great outdoors. His most celebrated assets were his kindness, giving nature and beaming smile.

Craig’s passions in life were his family and his faith. He is survived by his Mother, Susie Fair, brother, Gary Fair, sisters, Linda Ortiz, Tracy Fair, and Lisa Fair.  He is also survived by his best friend Terri; his two daughters, Briana Pacheco-Fair and Clarisa Gordon. Craig was blessed with five Grandchildren: Frankie Lee Pacheco, Julian Joseph Pacheco, Tiana Brielle Pacheco, Styles McKenzie Fair, Kinsley Ann Fair.

Craig was preceded in death by his Father LJ, his brother Michael, and his brother Nick.

OUR WONDERFUL DAD

As we sit and reminisce

Looking back on the good times we had,

The memories began flowing swiftly…

You sure were a wonderful dad.

Jumping on the pool cover,

At times I admit we were bad,

But you would remain calm and patient…

You sure were a wonderful dad.

Those fishing trips, we sat for hours

Yet some of the best times we had,

Even when leaving without one fish...

You sure were a wonderful dad.

Your smile we’ll always remember,

It started out only a tad,

Then broke into tear filled laughter…

You sure were a wonderful dad.

To know we won’t see you in this life

Brings tears and makes our hearts sad,

But a glorious reunion is coming

With our Heavenly Father… and wonderful dad!

All our love, Briana & Clarisa

The Chain

We knew little that morning

That God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one

The chain will link again
