Bob was a very dear and loyal friend to me , and I'm sure to many others . We met back in the 80's while driving over-the road at N.W.Transport service,We ended up running several bids together , and discovered we both loved drag racing , hot rods , working out , and were both in the Navy on aircraft carriers . It was not uncommon for us to take in an afternoon of drag racing while our double trailers were parked out with the other spectators ! As a truck driver , Bob was really good. Always got the freight there on time and always got us home safe. He was later installed as a freight business agent at Teamsters local 961 in Denver. In that capacity , he represented his members to his upmost abilities.
Any of you that knew Bob , found out shortly which buttons he needed to push to get under your skin ( truck drivers have a different term for this ) and he would smile widely while waiting for your response.
My life is better because Bob was a trusted friend , I miss him already.

There are too many memories... lately I've been thinking about how much fun Papa was. From kneeboards to hoverboards, or playing badminton at my wedding. Teasing was the way we expressed our affection - I got ready this morning and thought about how, if he could see my outfit, he would have probably called me a geek, then laughed and given me a hug. I'm going to miss that. I'll spend the rest of my life grateful that he came into our lives and gave us the kind of unconditional love we all need.

To the living I am gone, To the sad, I will never return. To the angry, I was cheated, but to the happy, I am at peace. I cannot speak, but I can listen. I cannot be seen, but my presence can be felt. I can no longer lead, but I can walk beside you.
So as you stand gazing at a beautiful sunset or the moon in its' endless sky... Remember me.
Remember me in your heart, in your thoughts, and in your memories. Remember the times we loved, the times we fought, the times we laughed and the times we cried, the times we teased and the times we shared.
For if you think of me I will not have died.
I read this today and it brought tears to my eyes Bob.
I never imagined being so blessed having spent 24 years together.
