Obituary of Sorya Poc-Pollock

Sorya Poc-Pollock was born March 19, 1932 in Cambodia to Marie Larouis. After a valiant fight with COVID, she joined our Lord and Savior on January 20, 2022.

Sorya is preceded in death by her first husband, Lo Thieun, and her mother.

She is survived by her second husband, Robert Pollock, her two daughters Nina and Maya, step daughter Jennifer, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Sorya lived an international life. After studying in France, she married a diplomat and traveled the world. After Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge took control of her home country, her family immigrated to the United States as refugees. She became involved with the Cambodian and Vietnamese communities in Denver and spent many years assisting other refugees to settle in their new home. 

Sorya found love a second time with Robert, and through him, developed a great love for her faith. She was a devoted Christian, and graduated from Charis Bible College. She found great peace and comfort in her beliefs. 

Sorya will be remembered and missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Thrive Church at 9830 Lone Tree Parkway, Lone Tree, CO 80124 at 2:00pm, preceded by a viewing at 1:30pm. Private interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
