Obituary of Nancy Ruth Saxton

Nancy Ruth Saxton, 85, passed away peacefully in her home in Denver, Colorado on January 31, 2022.

Nancy was born in Ishpeming Michigan on March 28, 1936, to Willard and Bertha Mayotte.  There she started a family of three daughters; Carol, Joyce and Betty.  Then later moved to Texas to have her fourth and final child and son, Gary.

She then moved to southeast Denver in the late sixties with her husband Roger and four children to start a new life with her family.  On Monaco Parkway, across the street from Cook Park, the family thrived with Mom doing licensed daycare followed by a decades long commitment to working as a cashier for King Soopers Belcaro. You may have seen her riding her moped to work.

In her younger years she enjoyed going to Denver Bronco and CU Buffalo games with her husband and family, being a full-fledged participant in tearing down the goal post after the 1977 playoff win at Mile High Stadium on the road to the Broncos first super bowl.

Collectively though, Nancy was an incredibly strong person who overcame many adversities in life to become the perfect mother in every sense. So patient, loving and forgiving. Home and family were everything to her. She is so loved and will be in our hearts forever.

Nancy is survived by  her children, Joyce, Betty and Gary.  Grandchildren James, Chelsea, Ryan. Great grandchildren Caleb and Emily.  Sisters Judy, Janice, Barbara and Susan. And several other family and friends.

She will be put to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with her husband Roger of 54 years.
