Obituary of Betty J. Berkowitz

   Betty J. Berkowitz, 65, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado died Tuesday, February 8th, 2022

Born May 9, 1956 in Denver, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Betty J. Major.

Betty had a love of aviation that began with her time in the United States Navy as a parachute rigger.  She worked as an administrative assistant for Aspen Airways and Air Wisconsin from the mid 80’s till she joined FedEx Express in 1999.  While at FedEx, Betty held many positions and worked her way up from a package handler to being a Managing Director’s Assistant for The Great Basin district office in Midvale Utah and Western States AGFS based in Centennial, Colorado.

 Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Larry L Major (brother), and Laura J Major (sister).

Betty is survived by her children  Casandra Joy and William L Berkowitz, six grandchildren, William M. Berkowitz, Aspen M. Dickerson, Nicholas J. Tipton, Tyler M. Berkowitz, Eric T. Tipton, and Bryonna G. Berkowitz, two siblings, Blenda J. Major (Raymond Bailey spouse) and Terry Major (Joanne Major spouse)

There will be a grave side service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, tribute donation can be made to the PKD foundation in her name at pkdcure.org or mailed to PKD foundation p.o.box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187.
