Obituary of William "Bill" Duane Garbo

   William “Bill” Garbo went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3rd, 2022 at the age of 80.

 

Bill was born on January 30, 1942 in Crested Butte, Colorado to Mary [Knauff] Tucker. As a young boy he was adopted by his stepfather Anthony “Tony” Chris Garbo, Mary's first husband.

 

Bill was predeceased by his mother, Mary Margaret [Knauff] Tucker on December 8th, 2012 and many other family members over the years.

 

He is survived by 6 first cousins, Sherril [Bray] Scott, Lucinda [Bray] DeMerell, Diana Bray, Laurie [Howe] Vervaecke, Daniel Howe and Sharon [Booker] Bernard, all of Colorado. He is also survived by his sweet little best girl - his dog Skye.

 

Bill is also survived by his three very best friends and lifelong companions Jim Dennis, Wayne Clemens, and Harold Addington. They have so many wonderful memories of over 60 years of shenanigans shared with their friend and comrade.

 

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served from June 1960 to August 1963.

He was an avid outdoors-man, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and most of all the Mountain Man rallies that he attended for many years.

 

No services are planned at this time. A Military graveside service will be held at a later date.
