Virginia Lutes

Obituary of Virginia Lutes

Virginia "Jeanna" (Covello) Lutes

Entered into eternal rest on April 25,2022. She was born May 16,1922 to Angelo and Carmella Covello.

Although she traveled the world with my father, she called North Denver her home. She loved Colorado and was proud of her Italian heritage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband, Lt. Col. Jack L.Lutes and son, Jack L. Lutes Jr.

She is survived by her children, Janice Fuerst (Jeff Fuerst), grandchildren, Nikki Stuckey (Bill Stuckey), Martin Lutes (Yvonne Lutes), Gina Fuerst (Chrissy Fuerst), Jeffrey Fuerst (Jayme Fuerst) and great-grandchildren, Kayla Pinkerman (Tyler Pinkerman),  Addyson, Emma & Paxton Fuerst.

She loved her family, her friends, her church, the Broncos, the Rockies and we all know she loved going to Black Hawk to play her favorite slot machine.

She was the energizer bunny, ready to go at a moment’s notice.  She enjoyed her book club, bingo, MahJong, weekly poker with friends, doing puzzels or sitting by the pool with her friends at the Valentia Condo.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Alter Rosary Society. Active with Sons of Italy and was an officer for the Grand Lodge. She called bingo for Sons and Daughters of Italy on Wednesday afternoon for 20+ years and volunteered at craft sales and the bazaars- called bingo, making cakes, pizzelles and biscuits. She is famous for making the best biscuits.

She looked forward to her trips to Connecticut to visit the Dolcetti family and to California with the Lutes and Pietro families. She loved her trips to Florida to spend time with family and especially her great-grandchildren, Addy, Emma and Paxton.

Mom shared a very special love for her granddaughter, Gina and forever her special angel in Heaven.
