Obituary of Claudia "Clara" Casados

Claudia "Clara" Casados beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Clara Casados 94 went to the Lord on April 2nd in Lakewood, CO.

Born March 27, 1928 in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico to Albert and Maria "Lilly" Aragon Saiz. Clara married Leo Samuel Casados in Denver. The two were blessed and survived by four children: Mary Bonner, Ron Casados, Carol Casados, and Dene Casados. Clara had a son David Adams from a previous marriage. Clara was a devoted loving grandmother to Ryan Notch, Cody Notch, Dionne Bonner, and Enrique Simone Casados. Great grandmother to Dr. Rhiannon Bath Garcia.  Clara helped raise her younger siblings with much loving care Joe, Albert, Johnny, Robert George, Arthur, James, Maryellis, Dorothy, and Rudy.

Clara was known for her generous heart and giving nature to all. She was a second mother to many. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was known for her fabulous homemade beans, tortillas, and cinnamon rolls. She received a baking certification from Emily Griffith. Clara worked for Denver Public Schools until retirement. She believed education was the key to living a life meant to serve others. Clara was very creative and generous in her seamstress work. She sewed quilts, blankets and clothes for others. Clara spent much time tending her flower gardens. Clara loved to travel. She was quite adventurous riding Harley Davidsons and horses. She enjoyed playing musical instruments: clarinet, alto sax, piano, guitar and accordion. Clara was a great story teller. She was quick witted and so incredibly funny. She would bring a smile and laugh to everyone she met. Clara was an impeccable woman with the greatest of patience. A most devout Catholic who believed in the power of prayer.

Services will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community 7400 W. 80th Ave. Arvada, CO. 80033. Rosary: Thursday June 16th @ 6:30pm in the chapel Funeral Mass June 17th @ 10: 30 am in the Sanctuary (big church) luncheon inside the SPC building will follow the mass. Commencement and burial will follow at Fort Logan Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver CO. 80236.
