Obituary of Clark Raymond McKinstry Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clark Raymond Mckinstry (February 12, 1944-July 8, 2022). His joyous and loving nature will be missed by those who knew him simply as Papa. He is survived by his 3 children Tina Hass, Steven Mckinstry and Constance Mckinstry, by his 6 Grandchildren Chris Hass, Jason Hass, Anthony Hawkins, Brandon Hawkins, Nicholas Mckinstry and Kayla Mckinstry and by his 3 Great Grandchildren Luke Hass, Max Hawkins, and Oliver Hawkins. He left many to mourn in his wake but also gave those who knew him many more memories to hold and to cherish. He will be remembered for his wit, his strength, his passion and above all else, his humor. His love for play rivaled his dedication to work, a trait we should all be so lucky to strive for. Whether it was his passion for “toys”, big and small, his cleverly timed jokes or his knowing and mischievous smile, he never let slip the importance of fun. Today is both a day of grief and celebration for the man we all knew and loved as Papa.

While those he left behind will grieve his passing, we take solace in knowing he will finally return to his wife of 46 years Peggy May Mckinstry (May 20, 1950-September 20, 2015). Today we commemorate and celebrate her life as she too is laid to rest with him. She will always be remembered for her compassion, her love for the fantastic, her dedication as a mother and grandmother and above all her loving embrace. She taught us all what it means to love, and her warmth and kindness lives on through us.

While the world has lost two souls the sky has gained two stars that will forever shine their kindness and empathy down upon us, reminding us, that their love, like the stars, is eternal. Both will be laid to rest together on August 10, 2022.
