Obituary of Marie Terese Pennington

Marie Pennington passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 67 after a brief illness. Marie was born in Los Angeles, California to John and Joan Starner. She spent a short time living in Germany and several states before she and her two children moved to Colorado.

She met her husband Phil in 1990. They enjoyed many adventures, hobbies and good times creating a beautiful life together. Marie was a passionate cook and never missed an opportunity to welcome family and friends into her home for a wonderful meal and an evening of games.

After retiring in 2020, Marie enjoyed time spent following her other passions and hobbies including crafting, gardening and traveling.

Marie is survived by her husband, Phil Pennington; daughter Kristine (William) McHatton; son Paul Rose; grandchildren, Jonathan McHatton, Brittney McHatton, and Sydney Rose; sisters Susie (Phillip) Guckes, Linda (Mike) Hernandez and niece Julie Needham. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marie was a fantastic, loving wife, a dedicated, wonderful mother, a caring and compassionate sister, a fabulous aunt, and a great friend. She will be dearly missed.
