David Everett Pierce Sr.

 

David E. Pierce 85 years old, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family September 17, 2022.  David was born February 28, 1937, in Denver, Colorado.  At one month of age, David was lovingly adopted by Everett Pierce and Marjorie (Davidson) Pierce.   At the age of 17, David enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  He served as a boat operator, often times shuttling the captain to shore.  He served in the Navy for 4 years.

 

At the age of 18 years, David married Carolyn J. Leigh.  They had 6 children.  After his Navy tour was finished, David worked as a Fuller Brush Salesman, and a Samsonite Salesman, before beginning his career at Wonder Bread Bakery. David loved to play, listen to, and watch all sports!  He loved playing golf, softball, bowling, and fishing.  One of David's greatest sports accomplishments was bowling (3) 300 games. 

 

After David's retirement he lived in Walden, Colorado for several years with his wife Judy.

 

David is survived by his children Cheryl (Larry), Guy (Gina), David (Kimberly), Scott (Shannon), and Carrie (Jeff), stepchildren, Shane, Kevin, and Renee, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

 

He as preceded in death by his wife Judy, and his son, Randy Pierce.

 

David will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
