Frank Leitz

Obituary of Frank Leitz

Frank passed from this life, to be with his wife on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the age of 89.

Born in Kansas City, MO, he moved to Boston, Ma, to study at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After meeting his wife-to-be Virginia in a bridge game (and both of them cleaning house) there, he obtained his doctorate in Chemical Engineering.  His mission in life was really to provide people with drinkable water - and he did it for America, he helped Israel, he helped the Arab world. Finishing his career as an internationally respected Desalination expert with a forty-two year time of service at the Bureau of Reclamation, he also found time to raise three boys and volunteer extensively with the Boy Scouts of America. For a sample of Frank's engineering expertise, the Bureau has provided an overview:
