Obituary of Stanley G. Student

Stanley G. Student, 88, of Highlands Ranch, CO, died peacefully in his home on September 25, 2022.

He was born on July 28, 1934 to Stanley and Lottie Student in McAdoo, PA. Following his graduation from McAdoo High School in 1952, he went on to obtain his BS in Electrical Engineering at Lafayette College in Easton, PA in 1956 and later went on to receive his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at New York University, graduating in 1961. Additional education and degrees conferred from The University of Alabama, Colorado State University and Massachusetts Institution of Technology.

He served proudly in the US Army Ordinance Corps and was Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in June of 1956. He was in active duty through May 23, 1959, in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

Stan and D. Lois Organis were high school sweethearts and married on July, 28, 1956. Stan and Lois went on to have 4 children: David, Pamela, James and Nancy.

Stan started his first job at Bell Telephone Laboratories, Western Electric Co. in 1959 and enjoyed a successful career in engineering and manufacturing leadership roles within the same Bell System for his entire career.

In 1988, Stan retired and spent his time with Lois in Scottsdale Arizona where he learned to play golf, dabbled in local politics, tinkered with his computers and spoiled his grand children, all with his unique sense of humor and generous heart. Stan and Lois moved to Colorado in 2013 to be closer to family.

Stan was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Lottie, brother Joseph, sister Amelia and son David. He is survived by his wife Lois, daughter-in-law Sue Student and grandsons Zeke and Eli Student; daughter Pamela Student and her family, husband Charles Mazzola, granddaughter Maria Mazzola, great granddaughters Mia and Michaela Anderson, grandson Mason Mazzola, and granddaughter Maddy Mazzola; son James and his family, wife Mercedes, and grandsons Mateo and Leo; daughter Nancy Student and her family, husband Michael Linderman, granddaughter Abby Linderman and grandson Aiden Linderman.

Ashes have been placed at Ft. Logan in Colorado.
