Mary Waters

Mary Ruth Waters, 79, of Denver, CO., ended her journey on October 13, 2022.  She began her journey on June 14, 1943, to Mac and Mary Jones.

She was a devoted, proud military wife and loving mother of three children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jr. and son, Gerold S. Waters. There are two surviving children: Cheryl A. Zollicoffer (Jeff) and Gail N. Shepard. She is also the beloved “meemaw” to a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also known as “Mae Ruth” to her nieces, nephews, and siblings.

She was well traveled and met so many people in her life. She was a mentor and inspiration to many. And a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. She also loved chocolate ice cream.  She could not pass up a sale at her favorite store(s). She loved to clip and use coupons.

A funeral service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado 80235 on Friday, November 18, 2022 – pavilion C (Denver Drive) at 1:15pm, with a reception to follow.  Donations may be made in her honor, in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children Hospital, her favorite charity.
