Obituary of James P. Mason

Mason, James P. passed away peacefully at home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, October 20, 2022.  Devoted husband to his wife of 62 years, Barbara Mason and loving father to his sons Dean and Keith. Proud grandfather who is also survived by one brother, Marion. A veteran, James served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division in Bamberg, Germany and retired from the Alameda County Water District. Born in Missouri, he was 84 years old.

Friends and neighbors remember him as a strong man with an equally strong work ethic and love for his family, country, caring for his home and helping his neighbors whenever he could lend a hand. He enjoyed making people laugh and lunches with friends.

Friends are invited to his military service to be held on November 22, 2022, 11:00am, Fort Logan Cemetery, Staging Area A, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado 80235. In lieu of flowers at the service, we ask that a donation be made to the military non-profit or agency of one’s choice.
