Obituary of Dean Arthur Wubbena

Dean A. Wubbena, age 74 of Denver, CO died on Friday, November 18th at Swedish Hospital in Englewood, CO.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2023 on June 17th. All family and friends will be invited to 10251 Royal Eagle Lane, Highlands Ranch CO. The celebration will start at 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

Dean Arthur Wubbena was born June 15, 1948 in the town of Ashton, IA to Merle J. Wubbena and Evelyn G. (Frey) Wubbena. He was raised near Ashton on the family farm and later graduated from Sibley High School. Dean entered the Air Force in the Spring of 1969 and served until Spring of 1973. Soon after he moved with his family to Colorado Springs, CO where he made the area his permanent home.

Over the years, Dean enjoyed coaching and watching his two sons participate in athletics. He also enjoyed playing softball, umpiring and refereeing, gardening, cooking, and boating. Dean enjoyed a career as an Appraiser and Real Estate Agent. In February of 2021 he became a resident of Carillon Assisted Living Center. Dean enjoyed his time there making many friends and participating in activities.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Wubbena of Bloomington, MN; son, Scott and wife Tamara Wubbena of Highlands Ranch, CO; son, Adam and wife Nikki Wubbena of Highlands Ranch, CO; along with 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Jaden, and Jackson.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents. Blessed be his memory.
