Obituary of James Benjamin Jones

James Jones was born October 1, 1949 in Rome, Georgia and passed away at the age of 73 on December 5, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by loved ones.

Jake is preceded in death by Ottis Jones (father), Wyomea Jones (mother), and Michael Cotton (son). He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Carol Jones, Jacob Jones (son), Shenay Castle (step daughter), Patsy (sister), Mert (sister), Kay (sister), Barbara (sister), and Randy (brother).

Jake had a great sense of humor and he always had a funny way of looking at things. He always had a random joke to tell just to make you smile, even if you've heard it a million times. Jake was a very generous and compassionate man that would often give more than he had. He constantly made sure everyone was taken care of and always thought of his family before himself because he was a very giving man. Jake loved to go fishing. He knew of all the good spots to fish and was always in the hunt for the "big one" as he would say. Jake also loved listening to music, eating good food, storytelling, and tinkering around with stuff. Jake has shown us all what the definition of strong looks like. Although he went through a lot in life, he continued to wear a smile and told a story for every adventure he had. He will forever be loved and missed by all. Rest in peace, Jake. We love you.

Celebration of life for James Jones will be held at LDS Chapel 150 Pine Ave. Colorado Springs, CO, 80906 December 17th, 2022 from 12- 3:30pm.
