Obituary of Lyle Lynn Weishaar

Lyle Lynn Weishaar

Lyle Lynn Weishaar, age 62, unexpectedly passed away on January 2nd, 2023 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was born on June 2nd, 1960 in the small town of Mandan, North Dakota to parents Leroy Weishaar and Loretta Nordtvedt.

Lyle grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and Moorehead, Minnesota. We was brother to Laura Weishaar, Loren Weishaar, and Leslie Weishaar. Lyle had become the man of the house after losing two fathers (Leroy Weishaar in 1972 and stepfather Keith Nordtvedt in 1975) and his younger brother (Loren Weishaar in 1969). He then lost his beloved mother, Loretta Nordtvedt, on October 3rd, 2015.

He enlisted in the United States Army at age 17 on May 2nd, 1979 and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He was training to be an Airborne Ranger Cannon Fire Direction Specialist and a Field Medic before being Honorably Discharged due to hearing loss.

He moved to Colorado with his mother and brother Leslie in the mid 1980’s. A few years later he met his ex-wife Christina Hernandez and her two children Arthur and Jessica Hernandez. Without having a father to raise them, Lyle stepped up and raised them as his own. On October 3rd, 1992 he had his first son, Alexander Joseph Weishaar, named after Lyle’s grandfather Alexander Weishaar and Christina’s father Joseph Finn. They moved from Wheat Ridge, CO to Lakewood, CO in the fall of 1996 where they bought their first home. Lyle was a hard working man, working multiple jobs at a time to provide for his family. On May 1st, 1998 his daughter Julia Jean Weishaar was born who was named after Christina’s mother Julia Jean Finn. Lyle was a very hard working, loving, and caring father, some would say a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none. He was a serial entrepreneur and roofer, roofing is in the Weishaar blood.

Lyle taught his children like his mother before him to never lie, cheat, or steal. Lyle was one-of-a-kind, fun, loving, charismatic, and eccentric.

Those left behind to honor and cherish Lyle’s memory are sons Arthur Hernandez and Alexander Weishaar and daughters Jessica Webb and Julia Weishaar. His sister Laura Weishaar and brother Leslie Weishaar. His nieces Melissa Adamy and Megan Hollermann. His grandchildren Jaxon Weishaar, Stella Weishaar, Alexxis Hernandez, Dominic Webb, Marcus Webb, and Lorenzo Webb.
