Julian Lloyd Martinez “Pal”

In great sadness the family announces the death of Pal Martinez. He was born April 9,1942 in Longmont Colorado. He passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2023, after a battle with Dementia. He served in the Army from May 1, 1967, to January 7, 1969. During that time, he was stationed in Viet Nam.

Pal leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Linda, his daughter Christina, and granddaughter Audriana. He is survived by three siblings, Pauline Morris, Trudy Gurule and Danny Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Julian, his brothers, Mike, Greg, John and Joe, and his sisters Sally and Mellie.

A celebration of Pal’s life will be held on March 9, 2023, and will be at St Stephens Lutheran Church located at 10828 Huron St, Northglenn, CO. There will be a viewing from 10-11 am, and the services will be at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at http://www.alz.org/co.

Pal loved fishing and traveling. He loved spending time with all his family. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He will be missed by all but not forgotten.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Lutheran Hospice. They made his last days more comfortable.
