Obituary of Ronald C. Kling (Poopsie)

Ronald C. Kling (Poopsie) passed away at the age of 81 on Wednesday, March 1st 2023 in the comfort of his home.

Ron was born January 21st, 1942 in Ault, Colorado to the late Ludwig and Lydia Kling.

Ron graduated from East High School in 1960. He enlisted in the US Army as a combat engineer and was awarded the expert marksmanship pin for his precision shooting skills. He also competed on the Army boxing team. After he left the military, he began his construction business. He built many residential and commercial buildings throughout Colorado. He was a skilled craftsman that could build anything; from a high rise to a boat and everything in between. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, traveling, gardening, all animals, and he seldom missed a happy hour with friends and family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Mary. His children, Bonnie Stevens, husband Kent and two daughters, Ivette and Presley; Rick Kling, wife Kathy and two children, Jarred and Corrie; Nicole Remmich, husband Joe and children Justin, wife Ruth, Ashley, husband Will, and Alex; Chad Remmich, wife Chris and children Matt and partner Zach, Nate, wife Jamie, Trisha, husband Jeff, Bailey, husband Tevin; Ryan Remmich, wife Janelle and children Lane, Ty, and Kaylee, who preceded Ron. He is also survived by a brother, Chuck Kling and wife Joan, and many great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Our Lady of the Plains Catholic Church in Byers, Colorado at 11:00 am on Friday, March 10th 2023. There will be a luncheon to follow at the church. There will also be a military honors service held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Thursday, March 23rd 2023. 1:15 pm at staging area C.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of the Plains Catholic Church in Byers or The Byers American Legion Post.
