Obituary of Paul Joseph Hinkebein II

Paul Joseph Hinkebein II, 75, passed away Saturday February 25, 2023 in Broomfield, Co. He was born June 13, 1947 in Kansas City Missouri to Paul Hinkebein and Pauline Vega. His father, Paul, passed when he was two and he was raised by his stepfather Kenneth Laituri. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1965 and went on to study at the University of Colorado. He earned a BS in applied mathematics in June 1970. He then went on to serve in the US Army and was honorably discharged in December 1971. Paul worked for and retired from the US Postal Service.

He was married to Teresa and had one daughter Stephanie. He was a volunteer at Stephanie’s elementary school for many years. He was always helpful and there to lend a kind and patient hand to anyone in need of help with a computer issue. He also enjoyed fishing, photography, researching genealogy and was an avid baseball watcher. He always enjoyed going to Rockies games with his mother Pauline and Stephanie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul, mother, Pauline, and brother Karl. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie and granddaughter Peyton.

Paul “Butch” was a beloved father, brother and papa and will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023 at St Marks Catholic Church with a viewing from 10-10:30 am, mass from 10:30-11:30 am with a burial at Fort Logan at 1:00 pm. Flowers will not be permitted at the church for lent. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinson.org.
