Obituary of Brice A. McClendon
Brice was 69 years old and passed away on November 14th, 2023 at his home of thirty-five years. He was born in Colorado where he proudly grew up in the West Side of Denver. He was born on June 9th, 1954 to the parents of Kathamay and Eddie McClendon who preceded him in death, along with his Beloved Grandma Cora Jones, respected uncles Douglas and Rexell Hart, and his infant brother Gordon Terry McClendon. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of forty-seven years with whom he built an amazing family. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Michael McClendon, sisters Trudy (John) Pugh, Faye (Jeffrey) Smedley, Roxanne Richardson, and Catherine Richardson (Thomas Newland, deceased). To honor his legacy, he leaves behind his four children, Mark (Roseanne), Melissa, Savanna (Reuben), and Sarah (Fenell). He leaves behind his twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren which were his pride and joy, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Brice was strong-spirited, hardworking, selfless, and gifted, who deeply cared for his family and friends. He was a self-taught man from how to play the piano, to fixing cars and various projects around the house. Music was his passion from the way he glided his fingers across the piano keys to playing a diverse collection of music on his vinyl records. Home-cooked meals were how he fed our souls and all of the wisdom and traditions he passed along made him the best teacher. Brice’s spirit and memories will be cherished by many as we keep his presence alive. Join us to honor his legacy and celebrate his life at the services below.
