Obituary of Noah James Blumenhein

Noah James “Gree” Blumenhein passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the tender age of 17.

Noah was born in San Angelo, Texas on September 8, 2006.  From a young age, Noah’s smile could light up the world.  He enjoyed playing with his siblings Ryan and Emily (Eleven).   He was a creative soul and enjoyed playing any instruments he could, drawing, painting and building with Legos.  He enjoyed stealing his father’s military hats and wearing them wherever he went.

Noah received his drivers license this year, worked at McDonalds and was taking his first steps into adulthood.  He was a junior on the honor roll at Liberty High School.  His love for flying grew past just simulations and he took his first flight with a trainer in October.  He could not stop smiling after the flight and it further solidified his aspirations of being a pilot.  He was liked by teachers, classmates, coworkers, neighbors and online friends because he would always take the time to help others in any way he could. He especially loved helping with computer related questions or problems.

Noah saw the wonder and beauty within the world.  He developed a love for both photography and videography that helped him capture the world as he saw it and was improving his skills with every day.  In the last few years Noah was able to capture the sights of New York City, the beaches of California and Oregon, the giant redwoods and the beauty of  Colorado’s varied scenery.  He shared his photography and music with the world on both Instagram and SoundCloud as 123Gree1234.  He would often strike up conversations with strangers or anyone who wanted to talk about photography, computers, or gaming.

Noah was known to his online communities as “Gree”, the name he had picked out for himself when he first started playing Club Penguin in 2013.  He was part of many groups on Discord and enjoyed chatting with his friends.  He loved to play games, learned crypto mining, and built various things through computer programming. He would often build characters, scenes, pictures and more through various computer programs. He also loved creating his own music through the computer that he was always excited to share with others.

Noah is survived by his mother, Kristin Green, his father Sean Blumenhein, step-mother Ana Blumenhein, step-father Keith Green, siblings Ryan and Emily (Eleven) Blumenhein, and step-siblings David, Jonathan, Abigail, Sarah, Joshua, Jade, and Nate. He is also survived by his grandparents Cheryl Simon, Paula and Ronald Knight, and Ken and Donna Leivestad.

Noah shone on this Earth for a short time and left us too early, but he left his mark on so many of us.  His wings were ready, but our hearts were not. Fly high Noah and watch over us.

Noah’s service will be held at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery on January 12, 2024 at 10:00AM.
