Beatrice V Baca came into this world December, 1926. Born in Denver Colorado to Alfonzo and Clara Martinez. She met and married her high school love in 1943 and they remained married for 77 years until her husband’s passing in 2020. Fred & Bea had a happy family of 5 children. Having the first when she was 16 and he was 19, Alfred Jr, Pat, Clara, Christine, Rhonda and granddaughter Autumn, son-in-laws Gene and Mark and daughter-in-law Jerri. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and cared for when they were infants. She was preceded in death by her sister Ginny, brother Donnie and sister Ida. Both parents were loved and are greatly missed. We were Blessed to have caring parents who loved us and supported us throughout our lives.

She was a homemaker, baker, amazing chef, making gourmet meals out of leftovers, many of which she dreamed about and made the next day. She was an incredible woman, very driven, motivated and independent. As a first career, she went to Emily Griffith Opportunity School and received a cosmetology license to become a manicurist in a beauty salon, where she also learned how to color & perm hair. Her other jobs were election judge, working at PACE as a food demo host, working at a book binding company and volunteering at the Arthritis foundation.

She loved to paint, do crafts, crochet and made many beautiful afghans and outfits for little troll dolls and sold them at craft fairs. She enjoyed gardening, music and thrift store shopping. She and Dad were avid Rockies fans and spent time in Black Hawk, playing the slot machines. She had a great sense of humor and was alert & still having fun up until a few days before her passing.
