Obituary of Carol Elaine Beach

Carol Elaine Beach, 77, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on January 3, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Verdoorn family. Carol, also known as "Nana," was a loving and optimistic person who always saw the best in everything and everyone. She was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother, creating a legacy of love that will continue on. Carol constantly put others first and lit up the room with her smile and laugh.

Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Theron Dean Beach; her children Kaydee (Beach) and Rich Salaver, Ginny (Beach) Drake, and Theron Dirk Beach; and her grandchildren: Brennan, Dane, Owen, Caroline, Kyla, and Theron David.

Carol attended East High School in Sioux City, Iowa, and then moved to Colorado with her family. She went on to have a successful career as an outstanding bookkeeper and loan officer. She worked for private businesses, local banks, credit unions, and universities. Her exceptional ability to make sense of numbers and her unparalleled customer service made her loved by her clients, customers, and colleagues alike.

Carol was a woman of faith and followed her Christian beliefs. She enjoyed attending services and celebrations at Lakewood United Methodist Church.

In her free time, Carol loved to read, sew, embroider, cook, bake, enjoy music and musicals, and spend time with her family. She especially cherished sitting on the porch, soaking up the sunshine in Kremmling, where she and Theron retired several years ago.

Please join us in celebrating Carol’s life on Friday, March 22 at 10:00 in the morning at Lakewood United Methodist Church for services and reception. She will then be entered in entombment in a private ceremony at Fort Logan following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
