I've known Dennis casually, since I was a kid in Holy Family Grade School in Carteret NJ. He was in my older brother's class- 3 years ahead of me. When I was about 19 years old, we became good friends; this was in the late 60's after Dennis was discharged from the US Army and was living in Carteret. Think " The Summer of Love", Vietnam War, Tie Dye, Bell Bottoms, etc. A group of us hung out together, probably every day, at his apartment. After he drove his Triumph motorcycle out West, I saw him less, but we stayed in touch over the years.
Fortunately, I last saw Dennis just a year ago when he stayed at my house for a few days when he came back East to his brother's funeral. I had a small party with some old friends, who were all happy to see Dennis. After his visit, Dennis mailed me a Bible as his show of appreciation and as a follow-up to some conversations we had
Dennis was an exceptionally smart and engaging personality. I specifically recall his taking up "magic" and quickly developing extraordinary slight of hand skills. I notified all of our common friends back East of his passing. He joins 2 others of our old group- John Zaremski, and Tom Babitsky, who died this past year. RIP Dennis, and my condolences to his wonderful wife-Pat.

Dennis is a great co-worker, friend, Brother in Jesus Christ. As a fellow school bus driver I remember running my route on the west side of Colorado Springs, (and without speeding), try to get the first slot at Coronado High school to take the high school students home. I failed Most of the time. After finishing my route drive back to the bus depot to post trip the bus and we would be there around the same time. We had some great conversations in the short distance from his parked car in the parking lot at the bus depot to the office. A lot of the conversations was on the Bible, Church, how bad things were getting to indicate the return of Jesus Christ and of course work. The thing I remember about Dennis is his Firm belief in his Savior Jesus and "God said it. I believe it and it's good enough for me" attitude. A great addition to Dennis is his other half, his lovely wife Pat. He loved and adored her and talked of Pat often. And love was reflected in their home, and it was a fun place to be. I had the honor of having dinner a number of times, which included the feasts of Israel. I experienced Passover meal, the elements on the table. Dennis had his prayer shawl over his shoulders. With Pat explain the meaning of the elements, the tasting of them. The blowing of the Ram's horn. It was Real Cool! My Brother is gone, BUT Dennis is Alive! And I WILL see him again one day in the future. Our Savior Jesus Christ once said, "Because I LIVE, You will live also!" And Jesus said it, and I Believe My Lord. So did Dennis, so does Pat. Yours truly, Chris Bruce

Dennis was a kind, caring, and compassionate friend. What an honor to have great memories with him. I enjoyed playing games with him and the family. It was a wonderful experience watching the new moon with him. His loved for others was very evident in the way he used his time to volunteer and serve others. It was a blessing to know Dennis! I am looking forward to the joy to come when I see him again! Arlene
