Obituary of Carol Neufeld Archuleta

Carol Neufeld Archuleta 

 

Carol Neufeld Archuleta gained her angel wings on Friday March 19, 2021

 

She was met in Paradise by her son Robbie Preece, grandfather Jim Whisenhunt and uncle Jim Whisenhunt.  

 

Carol was born in Albuquerque NM on July 6th 1973 to Ronald Neufeld and Deborah Whisenhunt.  

 

After graduating college, Carol became an important part of our community.  She worked for the State of NM and was a volunteer advocate for any organizations such as United Way, Teen Parent program, Catholic Charities,  DD waiver program and Angels of San Juan County.  

 

Carol was a compassionate, caring, generous person who was loved by many. She had a smile that could brighten any room and would help anyone in need. She was known as "momma Carol " by many of her children's friends because of how she loved and cared for them.  Carol loved the Denver Broncos and attended many games with her partner in crime (Art).she loved camping and especially her children grandson and fur babies. 

 

She is survived by her loving husband Art Archuleta,  son Shane Preece, daughter Ashleigh Melendez ( Cassidy), grandson Carson,  baby Melendez,  mother Debbie Herrera,  grandmother Kathy Whisenhunt,  sisters Renee Herrera and Brandy Schroeder as well as uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews who were all dear to her. 

 

Carols family would like to give a very special thank you to her best friend Stephanie Greer for all her love and support to both Carol and her family.  

 

We would also like to extend a thank you to Porters Hospital in Denver CO for the care and compassion given to Carol and her family during her stay and journey home. 

 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
