Obituary of Norbert Henry Kmoch
Norbert Henry Kmoch, 86, was born to Henry and Agnes Kmoch in Leigh, Nebraska on February 10, 1935, and passed away June 1, 2021, in Denver, Colorado, his home for most of his life. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and served in the United States Navy, headed to Louisiana to work on an oil rig before arriving in Denver in the early 1960s. Norb was a farmer, rancher and cattleman, businessman, horse lover, geologist, ranch broker, insurance salesman, entrepreneur, cigar smoker, polka music loving, wine drinking honorable man. He loved his family dearly including his two granddoggies and was a man who always treated others with kindness, honesty and integrity.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Steadman) Kmoch, daughter Jana (Kmoch) Mitchell and husband Jesse, daughter Ellen (Kmoch) Sellers and husband Preston, grandchildren Sarah and Ryan Sellers, sister Jan (Kmoch) Sindelar and husband Joe, all of Denver, Colorado, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn Wagner, brother Larry Kmoch and nephew Michael Kmoch.
The funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette's Catholic Parish, 7240 W. 12th Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any organization supporting Military Veterans in his name.
