Geneva was a part of my family's lives ever since I can remember. We were 1st cousins and we have always had a special bond. My father and her mother were siblings. On behalf of all the Leal's, our deepest condolences to Tom, Lisa, Rick and Jessica and Rosalie.
I have a special memory I'd like to share.
When I was around 6 yrs old, Geneva used to babysit for all 6 of us younger cousins while our parents went out on the town. My brother Ruben was always getting into something. He took his shoes and socks off and stood behind the console TV. Geneva was looking everywhere for him. Someone looked under the console and saw these little feet moving around. We all saw them, screamed and ran out of the house. It just so happened that Ruben was the only one missing. Geneva instinctively saved us all from the monster. When we went back inside, we found Ruben standing and sleeping behind the TV. Those were his feet.
That's only one memory out of hundreds. We're all going to miss her so much. She was a bright light that always brightened up a room. She's resting now. We love you so much Geneva. We'll see you again one day. Love you so much. Rest in peace.
